Lipo is a Latin word for fat and is often used in medicine.
Problems such as fat and disproportionate body, which are among the biggest aesthetic problems of today, made the aesthetic procedures with lipo very popular in the beginning.
What is Lipomatic?
Lipomatic or Lipomatik, also known as “Infrasonic Liposuction”, is an aesthetic method that allows for the removal of regional fat and at the same time tightening the skin. It is different and more advanced than liposuction. In this procedure, the sent vibrations separate the fat tissue from the connective tissue and ensure that only the fat tissue from the relevant area is removed without damaging the connective tissue and skin.
How is Lipomatic performed?
- The first step is a medical examination. The necessary tests are performed and the person undergoes a medical examination. When the doctor determines that the person is suitable for Lipomatic, treatment planning begins.
- During the treatment, the first step is to determine how much fat is taken from which regions.
- Depending on the areas to be treated and the amount to be taken, it is decided whether local or general anesthesia will be used.
- On the day of the procedure, while the person is under anesthesia, the “Lipomatic Device” tube is sent under the skin from small points. The vibrations emitted by this device allow the fat to be broken down and separated from the connective tissue. In this way, while on the one hand vibrations are emitted, on the other hand fat is removed from the corresponding area with vacuum. Since the connective tissue is not damaged and is carried out with vibrations, the skin is also tightened.
Why lipomatic?
- Since no interventions in muscles and skin are required, the risk is low. It is an FDA approved application.
- Since no surgical operation is required, the healing process is faster than with liposuction methods.
- People can return to their everyday life within a short period of time.
- The occurrence of swelling, redness or bruising is very low.
- There is no pain during the procedure, and after the procedure a very slight pain may be felt, but this can be easily controlled.
- Because vibrating cannulas are used, excess fat is removed on the one hand, while on the other hand vibrations cause the muscle tissue and skin to adhere quickly and create tension. This means that problems such as sagging, collapsing and waves, as with liposuction, do not occur.
- There are no scars after the operation. The cannulas are very thin and the hole where the cannulas go under the skin becomes skin-colored over time after healing.
- It is possible to get rid of 3-4 kilos of fat in a single session and one of the advantages is that it can be applied to all parts of the body.
Who is Lipomatic suitable for?
For pregnant women or nursing mothers it is not practical to undergo a lipomatic operation.
- A woman can apply for Lipomatic 1 year after giving birth at health institutions.
- Chronic diseases can be an obstacle for lipomatic surgery. For this reason, the medical examination is carefully performed and planned accordingly.
- Anyone over 18 years of age, male or female, can have Lipomatic surgery if it does not cause any health problem.
After the Lipomatic
- Depending on the amount of fat to be removed, the specialist decides whether the operation is performed under local or general anesthesia. If the person undergoes surgery under local anesthesia, he or she can leave the hospital the same day. In case of general anesthesia, 1 night hospital stay is necessary.
- 2 days after the operation, slight pain may occur. This pain can be easily controlled with painkillers recommended by the doctor.
- As with other methods of fat removal, the lipomatic method requires wearing a corset for 1 month.
- It is necessary to avoid heavy movements for 1 month, but at the end of the month you can perform activities such as swimming, walking and jogging.
- While a thinning between 2 and 4 months is visible, the final appearance is reached after 3 months at the latest.
